Ricard's not-so-usual synth page

Most people who've started looking into analog and other older synthesizers know what a Moog Minimoog is, or what a Korg MS-20 looks like, or what a Roland TB-303 sounds like. But then there are a number of machines that are just a bit more uncommon. On these pages I'll be collecting images and descriptions of some of these machines.

KORG

Two of the more unusual Korg synths are the 800DV and the 770. They preceeded the much more popular MS-series synths by a couple of years, and are quite odd in their naming of front panel controls. The filter cutoff frequency controls are called 'traveller', for instance. The 800DV is a 'dual voice' instrument, with two separate channels that can be assigned to the highest and lowest note played. The 770 is more of a run-of-the mill synth, still with two VCO's and two filters (one LPF and one HPF).
